About the

PROJECT

Toucan Green is a survey platform that I and a friend designed & built. Toucan Green’s goal is to allow customers to create surveys in a clean and easy to use fashion. The ToucanGreen platform allows you to build your own product groups and assign products to those groups. You then create a survey for that product group point customers to the website to provide feedback on your product.

The platform utilises dynamic & uptime pricing which bills the customer for the time their survey is up and not the number of responses, it also enables them to turn on and off features they want to use. Opposed to forcing them to upgrade their plan when they only want to use one feature of that plan.

About the

BUILD

The platform is built on Laravel with a custom-built backend portal using Vue.js and Tailwind CSS to provide pages with immediate response to the customer when creating and reviewing their surveys.

Due to wanting to keep the site as lightweight as possible, the homepage content is all hardcoded as it wasn't going to change often enough to warrant implementing a Content Management System.

LEARNT

The process of “having the right people in the right places” was solidified by the fact I had help from my friend to design the website. This allowed me to focus on the build whilst he designed the site giving me more time to test and debug the dynamic/uptime pricing model.
